Question by kristin: What is the youngest age you can get breast cancer at?
I was wondering this, because one of my friends thinks she has breast cancer, and I thought that thirteen was a very young age at which to develop breast cancer.
I should have said this. She has a lump in her breast and she went to the doctor and they said its “abnormal.” She thinks she has cancer, but she doesn’t know for sure yet. She’s getting a sonogram done.

Best answer:

Answer by kevanbd
You didn’t mention why your friend thinks that she has breast cancer, but at age 13 it is EXTREMELY unlikely. About 2 out of 3 women with invasive breast cancer are older than age 55.

Best answer:

Answer by Panda
Cancer can metastasize anywhere . . but in general cancer cells follow the blood system or lymphatic system and lodge in areas like the liver, lungs, bones, and brain. But microscopic malignant cells that spill into the blood stream/lymph node system can go all over the body including the nose .. it’s not common . . but happens.

Question by : Can a breast cancer tumor grow within days?
I posted a question on here a few days ago regarding my mom having breast cancer. She has surgery next Wednesday. I wish she could have it before then. She has a fast growing tumor. Is there a possiblity that it can grow bigger within a week of her waiting to have surgery? This worries me A LOT.

Best answer:

Answer by Alberta Perez
i don’t mean to worry you more about it but yes it is possible for her tumor to grow within the next week but it is not likely that it will grow all that much, maybe a couple centimeters. a word of advice for the future once your mom is in remission if she is given any medication make sure she takes it no matter what, my aunt was given a hormone pill that she was supposed to take when she finished her chemo and it was supposed to keep her breast cancer from coming back but what she understood was that she was to take it if she felt symptoms of her cancer coming back so she didn’t take it and since then her cancer has come back twice in different places in her body. also after her surgery and her treatments and everything watch out for just about anything back pain or even a difference in vision it could be the cancer coming back don’t just think that its weird and that it will go away get it checked out.

p.s. sorry for terrible grammar and bad punctuation. your mom and your family will be in my thoughts i wish you all the best. GOOD LUCK!!

Question by amiescke6286: Where can i find some stories about people with Lung Cancer?
My mom has lung cancer and my way of dealing with it is to look at stories of other people who have had Lung cancer. I prefer not to read about survivors because the chance of that are so small i was to be prepared for what could happen. Also i wanted to know what it could be like if this takes a turn for the worse. So i was wondering where i could go to read other stories.

Best answer:

Answer by peqli
http://www.cancercenter.com/cancer-survivors.cfm

this seems to be a good website

cross my fingers that she would recover from it. even a 1% chance of survival means that there is still chance of surviving, dont give up on hope

Question by me98: What theme for a breast cancer free party?
Okay my mom has just finished her chemotherapy for breast cancer, so me and my sisters want to give her a big party. But the problem is one of my sisters wants to do a Hawian theme. But me and my other sister thinks it should be pink for breast cancer free. We can’t ask my mom because it will be a surprise party. So I need help. what should it really be? Thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by truefirstedition
Why can’t you have a pink Hawaiian party? Make pink tropical drinks like strawberry daiquiris (you can leave out the alcohol), get pink leis, decorate a fake palm tree with pink ribbons, etc.

What do you think? Answer below!
